About FlashAttic

FlashAttic is a museum you can play. It collects the browser games that filled school computer labs, family PCs and portal sites between roughly 2000 and 2015 – the era of Flash – and keeps them playable after Adobe switched Flash Player off at the end of 2020.

Organised by memory, not by genre

Most people do not remember a game by its category. They remember rolling a block into a hole, launching a penguin off a ramp or escaping a room with nothing but a mouse. So the attic is sorted into boxes by the way you played: puzzle & physics, escape rooms, stick figures & action, launch & upgrade, strategy & defense and cooking & shops. If you only remember a detail, the game finder narrows it down.

How the games run

FlashAttic does not host game files. Each game runs in an embedded player from GGEMU, which emulates Flash in a modern browser – no plugin, no download, no account. Your progress, saved games and series progress are stored only in your own browser; you can export them from your attic.

The games belong to their creators

Every game on this site was made by an independent developer or studio, and the exhibit label on each game page credits them. We write our own descriptions, hints and memories for each game, and we link to the original creators where we can. If you made one of these games and want it credited differently or removed, see our DMCA page – we respond within 24 hours.

What we leave out

We do not list games that are still sold commercially, games based on licensed characters, or fan games built on other companies' characters. Those deserve to be played where their owners publish them.
