About Miragine War

Miragine War is a 2011 strategy game built around one idea: counters. Two armies face each other across a battlefield, each defending a crystal. Instead of controlling every soldier, you decide which units to deploy – recruits, archers, knights, mages and more – and they march forward and fight on their own.

The depth comes from choosing well. Each unit beats some types and loses to others, so the battle becomes a tug-of-war of reading what the enemy is sending and answering with the right troops. A good choice can turn the front line around in seconds; a bad one lets the enemy march straight to your crystal.

It is quick to learn, easy to play in short sessions and surprisingly tactical, which is why it is still remembered among the strategy games of the late Flash era.

How to play

  • Select a unit type to deploy it.
  • Units march and fight automatically.
  • Destroy the enemy crystal before they destroy yours.

The game is played with the mouse only.

Stuck? Hints, gentlest first

Hint 1 – learn the counters

Every unit type is strong against some units and weak against others. Watch what the enemy sends and answer with its counter.

Hint 2 – don't repeat yourself

Spamming one unit type is easy to counter. Mix your army so a single enemy type cannot beat all of it.

Hint 3 – protect your crystal

A round is lost when your crystal falls. Keep some defensive units back if the enemy line is pushing close.
