About Skywire 2

Skywire 2 is Nitrome's 2008 sequel to Skywire. The premise is the same – guide a cable car along a wire through a gauntlet of traps – but the routes are longer and the hazards more inventive, so timing and patience matter even more.

As in the first game, you only control the car's movement along the wire. Every obstacle becomes a question of when to move and when to wait, and every level is a sequence of these small puzzles. Nitrome's colourful pixel art makes even the nastiest traps charming to look at.

How to play

  • Arrow keys move the cable car along the wire.
  • Time your movement to avoid every hazard.

Stuck? Hints, gentlest first

Hint 1 – patience wins

Most deaths come from moving too early. Wait until a hazard has clearly passed before you go.

Hint 2 – reverse is allowed

If you are caught between two hazards, back up. Moving backwards along the wire is often the escape.

Hint 3 – one section at a time

Break each level into the stretch between two hazards and focus only on that stretch.
